ARTS FOR PALESTINE
POP UP @ The Model Arts Sligo 1-1.45pm Sat 6th December

An exciting opportunity to see virtuoso improvisers: cellist-composer Eimear Reidy and choreographer / contemporary dancer My Johansson come together a for a once-off performance at The Model, Sligo.
This event offers a sneak preview of the artistic collaborations happening at Arts For Palestine 2025 in The Factory on 13 Dec.
Eimear Reidy is a cellist whose sensitivity and versatility with the instrument spans baroque traditions and historical performance to the extended techniques of improvised and experimental music. Having completed a master’s degree at Utrecht Conservatorium, she went on to perform in concert halls throughout Europe including The Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Vredenburg in Utrecht, Krakow Filharmonia, Symphony Hall in Birmingham, and The NCH in Dublin. She has been commissioned to write and perform for theatre, visual arts, and dance.

My Johansson is a choreographer, dancer and actress, graduate of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and associate artist at The Midi Music Company. My’s work has been performed throughout Europe and the Middle Ëast, including at Riverside Studios, London, UK, Highfest
Performances include fREaK and Negotiating Space, as well as Nor I, commissioned by Siobhan Davies Dance a Dance for What Remains… Anatomy of an Artist and Kintsugi, commissioned by and for Unga Dansare/Dans i Blekinge.
