Kate Wilson
Kate will be inviting everyone into the space with a gentle warm up and some energy generating games. Along with ‘breaking the ice’ activities this short session will get us warmed up, and moving and connecting in a fun inclusive atmosphere
Cynthia Siberry (Ireland & Zimbabwe)
I’ll be bringing high-energy Southside dance styles from Africa, filled with rhythmic footwork, dynamic moves, and pure soul. My sessions are always about laughter, energy, and sharing the joy of dance—whether we’re moving to the beat or hitting the drums, we’re in for a great time!
Josué Reis (Ireland & Brazil)
I’ll be introducing the world of hip-hop social dance, exploring party dances, grooves. Participants will work with rhythm, bounce, timing, coordination, and freestyle. We will also explore the cultural background behind these dances. I will also bring a taster in Passinho, a Brazilian dance style born in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro through the culture of funk carioca
August Kirwin
August Kirwin (Ireland & Canada) I am an Irish dancer from Alberta, Canada with a Sean Nos practice rooted in cultural and community dance. I'll be introducing some background to Sean Nos as well as some of the core steps and rhythms. We'll bring these into some fun partner and group dances to finish.
